Walk through deep slush & snow to store, lunch at U. Sq. Hotel. front office is being fixed and papered for me. Am excessively busy. In eve'g at L.K. preside at Board of Tr & Vorstands meeting. home by 4th Ave Car | |

Feel slight touch in small of back, put porous plaster on. fix Census of our manufacture, since 1853. Henry Weisser in Buffalo dies | |

Back stiff, so that I take carriage to store but it grows better during the day, walk to U. Sq. Hotel, and in eve'g to my house. Mt L. Smith on the way. In eveg at 8 P.M. walk with wife to Steinway Hall, Damrosch Symphonie Concert O. Lang & wife at our box we enjoy Wilhelmj's playing very much. Drive home |

Feel much better, can walk down stairs regularly supporting myself on one side only. work in afternoon. In eve'g Chas & Fr. St & H. Ziegler call we talk things over until 11½ PM | |

Fearful slush & slippery. I move into my new office in front which looks very nice, papered & containing carpet out of my house front room. Blasius calls, pays his account $1000 more, remains at my house in eve'g |

Beautiful day. I am much more private in my new Office and can do a great deal more work. To factory 53d str. & Astoria in afternoon, after dining at Hanrichs, Astoria casemaking is getting into nice shape. Wife with her bro. to Geistinger, Thalia Theatre I am at L.K. sing + preside. Blasius stops over night |
