Anna Krüsi

Anna (Annie) Krüsi (b. 1874, New York; d. May 16, 1941, New York) (5) (6) (3) was a governess for William's daughter Maud and granddaughter Meta. She taught the girls German.

She was the daughter of the Reverend Bartholomew Krüsi, a Swiss-born pastor of the German Presbyterian Church in New York City, and Louisa Krüsi née Roesen, a nurse and governess for William Steinway's children during his marriage to Regina Roos Steinway. William left Anna Krüsi, her three sisters, and her mother $2,000 each in his will (7).

On April 20, 1899, Anna Krüsi married Hieronymus Breunich (1), a real estate lawyer who helped George Ehret and his sons manage their properties (2). Pastor Krüsi had performed the marriage of Hieronymus Breunich's parents in 1871 at the German Presbyterian Church (4). Anna and Hieronymus had two children, Paul and Anita (4) (3).
