Election day. Vote the whole democratic ticket myself heading the Cleveland Electoral ticket. Then to Tafelrunde dinner at Byrnes 6th Ave. Make a nice speech in english + have a long talk with Chas. W. Held, regarding H. W. T. St. Spend ev'g at L.K. my wife there. Home nearly 2 A.M. become satisfied that we democrats have triumphed |

Immense democratic Victory all over the Country, over 40.000. Majority for electoral ticket for Cleveland. Am at Generalversammlung of Deutscher Verein, offer to give my Int. + scrip to the Club, we all agree to raise the money to pay deficiency. Refuse to be President, propose Meissner as Pres., who is elected, I am Vice Pres. Home at 11 PM |
