Rainstorm continues & dulness of business likewise Frank King arrested yesterday as a thief + put under $300 bonds.My Willie tackled a bigger boy in Gram. Park yesterday and whipped him. In afternoon down town, see Haas and J. Hoffmann at 4.30. back L. Road to 9^th street At 6 P.M. to Zieglers. Reinhold L. Hermann calls at noon today in relation to L.K. asst directorship. Have also interview with Theo. Thomas in relation to L.K. directorship for next year. Then via 4^th Ave. up town to Zieglers, take dinner there, at 8½ P.M. to Toussaints where my wife and Papa Ranft are already. Quartett evg, we take my new L.K. Quartett, sing "So weit" & Ich hatte einst ein schönes Vaterland +c. am in fine voice.. Home at 12 o'clock.

Jacob Ziegler and wife sail for Europe pr. steamer "Neckar" Am at Astoria, arriving there at 11.30 A.M.
