NewYork, April 19th 1894.

April 19th Thursd.

At my Office early and work all day to 4.30P.M. when I drive through Park with Adams to 116th street and talk over L.K. matters with him. Stetson goes to Chicago at 9.30 A.M. on account of future location of Lyon Potter &Co. In ev'g work, Mr. Weiman calls takes supper and spends evg with us, talking over Daimler Motor matters. Walter Damrosch also called in relation to his proposed Wagner Cyclus next fall. A fine english soprano called with her husand and sings for me and Tretbar. Her name is Monteith and she sings very finely. Again walk without crutch or cane from my desk to Irving Place Theatre. Steamer Kaiser Wilhelm II arrives with passengers of "Ems" from the Azores, Reinhold L. Herman on board. Alfred D. Moulton calls having seen John D. Crimmins. Groebl called

April 20th frid.

Somewhat hard day. Remain home and work all day Ernst Knabe buried at Baltimore yesterday, Richard Ranft jr. attended the funeral. Quite a number of sales made of boats +Motors in the Daimler Motor Comp. In evg work til 11 P.M. send mail and papers off by Leonce to station F. Reinhold L. Herman on the ill-fated "Ems" called at my house today. Presided at Piano M_ Mg, Ernst Knabe resolution

April 21st sat.

Beautiful day. At St. Hall all day, Constant stream of Visitors Stetson cables from Chicago or rather on the way from there that he will reach N.Y. by 7 P.M. He living at Larchmont now. Senate has removed all names from Rapid Transit bill of Chamber of Commerce and it looks again very blue for the Cause. Had a number of Visitors yesterday and today, Mrs. Abbe mother of Courtland Palmer, E. Auerbach, V. Franck M. Rohrhand. At 4 P.M. meet Cotterill drive him through Central Park Riverside drive and talk over our lawcases with him. Carl v. Bernuth at supper with us. Carl Sixtus Kapff was again arrested yesterday on account of alleged defrauding Mrs. Kruse. My health is quite good I look rosy cheeked and am gradually improving in walking Charles Benner the lawyer of Astoria was also arrested yesterday under charges of malfeasance. George Bierwirth sails for Germany"Kaiser Wilhelm II" and Slivinski also sailed today
