N.Y. Novbr 2d 1877

Novbr 2d Friday.

Rainstorm & Hurricane all day At Theo & Louisas House in eve'g. Little Ella quite sick & feverish. Home at 10½ PM

Novbr 3d sat.

Beautiful clear day. At Theo. Thomas Concert in eve'g, which is extremely grand Home at 10½ P.M. Sleep well

Novbr 4th sunday.

At work from 8 A.M. til 1 P.M. with Tretbar & Phelps on our Card to the N.Y. Times perfecting same. After lunch drive uptown with Bam & Baby, I stop & see Louisa, we then walk to Zieglers, children home at 9½ PM and I by 4th Ave. Car home by 10 3/4 P.M. having played whist with Theo. Ziegler & Chas. St. & lost 14 Cents. Henry Ziegler has Diptheria, Henry Cassebeer also feels sick. Henry St & Williams to Shelby, Ohio, yesterday to select Butternut.

Novbr 5th Monday.

Gloomy day. My left eye begins to grow sore, at 11 A.M. at the Superior Court, the Jury for our case being impanneled and the trial set down for Wednesday at 11 A.M. sure. I lunch at Gerth, telegraph to Shelby, Ohio for Henry St. and Wm. H. Williams to be here Wednesday, and also to Baxter D. Whitney, at Winchedon, Mass. Very busy all the afternoon. Geilfuss is said on several occasions of late to have shown slight symptoms of inebriation. Terrible rainstorm all eve'g am at German Savgs Bk, afterwards at Gerths. Home at 10 PM put Russian Salve on my left eye
