The following are suggestions that will help you make the best use of this site with your students.

Elementary Level Students

Lesson Plans -- grades 4-6

The National Museum of American History and The History Channel developed these lessons based upon the exhibition, The American Presidency: A Glorious Burden. The lesson plans, which include several primary sources, are presented as PDF files and can easily be downloaded and printed out for use in your classroom.

Topics include: campaigning, inaugurations, presidential roles, life in the White House, and assasinations and mourning.

Middle School Students
